Patricia Sands

About this speaker

Patricia Sands is the author of the best-selling Love in Provence trilogy and other award-winning women’s fiction: the Villa des Violettes series, Drawing Lessons, The Bridge Club, The Secrets We Hide, Lost at Sea, Book 8, in the Sail Away series and A New Leash on Life, Book 9 in the Dragonfly Cove Dog Park series. A former educator, her first novel was published at the age of 65 in 2010 and she has been an inspiration to others to follow their writing dreams.

Her novels have been indie published and also four books traditionally through Lake Union Publishing. A long list of awards can be seen on her website.

Since 2020, she has lived two hours north of Toronto, Canada, and for thirty years she has spent time each year in the south of France. For the past ten years, she has led a 12-day tour based on her novels for 16 women in the south of France. Living Your Writing Dream

I began my work on Instagram in 2015 using fashion as symbolic of women wearing and being whatever and whoever they want to be. I've transitioned a few times. In 2022, I began publishing a digital magazine for women 50 plus and I am continuing to build a global community for proaging women.

Lorraine creates original resin and acrylic pour art in vibrant colours and showcases her art internationally. These designs are transformed into wearable art. Lorraine believes art should be accessible to everyone. So wear art on the streets! All the wearable art is created and produced in Canada.
